What is quiromassage or massage therapy?

From the Greek word 'κιροσ' (quiros), quiromassage means "hand" and "massage." This is a technique of manual therapy as it relies solely on the use of hands for its application. It is applied through force or vibration on soft tissues of the body, aiming to stimulate circulation, mobility, elasticity, or relieve certain bodily pains or symptoms.

The effects of massage serve to prevent and treat certain health problems such as stress, anxiety, muscle contractions, edema, muscle spasms, nervous tension, tendinitis, sprains, cramps, lower back pain, and more.

It acts on the benefits of gradual recovery from injuries, muscle toning and regeneration, motor rehabilitation, and increased flexibility and mobility.
